Antelope Hunting
Unique to the western United States, antelope hunting is a vastly different experience than hunting deer or large game. Finding their home across the American Great Plains, through the Rocky Mountains, to the deserts of the American Southwest and into California pronghorn antelope populate expansive, open terrain such as deserts and grasslands and have the ability to traverse these environments at high speed for long distances. As the fastest land animal in the western world hunting them requires more refined skills than are necessary for deer and other common large game.

Antelope Hunting
The thrill of hunting antelope is a unique experience sought out by avid hunting enthusiasts. A successful hunt will test a hunter's long range accuracy, reflexes and patience. Spotting the perfect specimen isn't as simple as waiting for a deer to walk through the woods as antelope congregate in large herds. Stalking is almost out of the question when it comes to hunting antelope since their habitat lacks the cover hunters hide amongst. Because of this, finding a trophy antelope requires a well trained eye and precision shooting. The hunter's proficiency will be tested as any mistake means attempting a second shot at an animal that can sprint up to seventy miles an hour.

The hunt for the pronghorn antelope resonates with the spirit of the American West...just like being a cowboy. With proper planning, patience and skill a successful antelope hunt can earn the intrepid hunter a surge of pride above the rest. Securing that trophy antelope rack is proof of a superior caliber of hunter.
